Our Beliefs

We firmly believe that there is only one living and true God who is eternal, all-powerful, wise, and good.

He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, both visible and invisible. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three Persons who together make up the Godhead and who are equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity.

We believe that the Son, who is the Word of the Father, the very and eternal God, of one substance with the Father, took on human nature while he was conceived by the blessed Virgin Mary.

As a result, two complete and perfect natures—that is, the Godhead and the manhood—were united in one Person, never to be divided. This Person is Christ, who is both the very God and the perfect man, and who actually suffered, was crucified, died, and was buried in order to make atonement not only for our actual guilt but also for original sin. He did this in order to reconcile us to the Father and to make a way for us to have a relationship with him.

We firmly believe that Christ truly rose from the dead.

He took back His body along with everything pertaining to the perfection of human nature, and then ascended into heaven where He is currently seated until He returns to judge all people at the end of time.

We believe that the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son, is of the same substance, majesty, and glory as the Father and the Son, being the very and eternal God.

We believe in the verbal and complete inspiration of the Holy Scriptures

or the Bible, which consists of sixty-six books divided into two divisions, the Old and New Testaments. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, the full and complete revelation of God's redemptive plan and history.

We hold that a portion of the reward of the righteous is eternal life with God in heaven

and that the punishment of the persistently wicked is eternal separation from the Lord and eternal torment in Hell (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7-8.)

and that the punishment of the persistently wicked is eternal separation from the Lord and eternal torment in Hell (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7-8.) Matthew 25:46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” Matthew 25:46 (NIV)

We believe, Jesus Christ shed His blood for the forgiveness of past sins

the regeneration of repentant sinners, and the deliverance from sin and the cycle of sin (Romans 3:25; I John 3:5-10; Eph. 2:1-10).

Justification is based solely on one's faith, according to the Bible

which is a doctrine that we uphold, teach, and believe (Romans 5:1).

We hold that sanctification is a process that begins with regeneration

and should continue throughout the believer's entire life. (Matthew 16:24; I Cor. 9:27; I Cor. 15:31; II Cor.5:17).

We believe that the Pentecostal baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is available through a specific act of faith

on the part of a thoroughly cleansed believer, and that the initial evidence of receiving this experience is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:14, 8-17; 10:44-46; 19:6).

In the same way that we believe in the atonement, we also believe in divine healing

(Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16; Exodus 15:26).

We firmly believe that every believer has a duty to devote his life to fulfilling the Great Commission

(Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).

We acknowledge baptism by immersion in water and the Lord's Supper as the scriptural rites of obedience for the church in this age.

(Matthew 28:19–20, Acts 2:41–42, 8:36–38, 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

The only Scriptural marriage, we believe, is the union of a naturally-born man and a naturally-born woman for life.

(Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23).

We consider all forms of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography to be sinful perversions of God's gift. We believe God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to change one's gender through surgery or physical appearance.

(Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13: Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1;6:9; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4)

We affirm everyone's right to life and are staunch opponents of abortion and euthanasia, both of which undermine the biblical sanctity of life. We are opposed to human cloning.

(Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23).
